About Me
I am a Democratic Socialist dedicated to easing life for families in Howard County. I bring extensive accounting and finance experience—holding a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Boston University—which informs my focus on responsible budgets and fully funded public services. Before my finance career, I interned on Capitol Hill and studied government in D.C., giving me a deep understanding of political systems. I am committed to rooting out corruption, fully funding education, retaining our teachers, easing the cost of living for seniors, and fighting for more affordable housing in our county.
Priorities
Fully funded public education and well-paid educators.
Fight for affordable living: housing, wages, and healthcare for all.
Ensure resident-first governance by ending special interest influence and restructuring our dysfunctional Board of Appeals.
Other Priorities
Call for a ban on all AI data centers in the county.
Remove AI data centers from our local power grid and water supply.
Establish community health centers to reduce emergency room strain and lower costs.
Fully fund food pantries to ensure no family goes hungry.
Fight for more affordable housing access by strengthening our Housing Trust Fund, increasing inclusionary zoning, eliminating the fee in lieu program for developers, and utilizing underdeveloped commercial areas.
Advocate for abolishing ICE operations and removing ICE presence from our county.
Support small businesses through low-interest loans, removing bureaucratic hurdles, and ensuring equitable access for minority-owned businesses.
Expand the aging-in-place tax credit by removing the 8-year limit and lowering the residency requirement from 30 years to 10–15 years, so more seniors can remain in their homes.
